Mini-grants

PTO Mini-Grants

Each year, the Viking Elementary PTO distributes funds to teachers and staff in the form of mini-grants. Nearly $4,000 in mini-grant funds were put to use during the 2024–2025 school year for classroom and schoolwide enhancements such as:

  • Wiggly seats and flexible seating options
  • Literacy tools (magnetic letters, classroom books)
  • Field day supplies and event resources
  • Lap desks and desk storage baskets
  • Field trip funding assistance
  • Sensory support tools
  • Technology resources like iPads

Parents, teachers, staff, and other stakeholders at Viking Elementary are invited to submit applications for mini-grants. PTO members review applications and vote to determine which requests will be awarded.

The PTO is excited to continue offering mini-grants during the 2025–2026 school year! New this year: The mini-grant application and award cycle will now take place during the fall term.
